# Accessibility Statement Morsely is committed to making Morse code accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities. ## Our Standard Morsely targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all pages. We test with automated tools (Lighthouse, axe DevTools) and manual keyboard and screen reader testing on each major page template. ## What We've Done ✓ All interactive elements are keyboard-accessible with visible focus indicators ✓ All form inputs have associated labels or aria-label attributes ✓ Color contrast ratios meet 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text ✓ Heading hierarchy is sequential (H1 → H2 → H3) on all pages ✓ Pinch-to-zoom is not disabled — maximum-scale is not set ✓ Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion — non-essential motion is disabled when requested ✓ All images have descriptive alt text or are marked decorative with alt="" ✓ The Morse audio output is also displayed visually — users who cannot hear can still see the dots and dashes ✓ Touch targets are at least 44×44 pixels on mobile
## Known Limitations ⚠ The Practice Key (spacebar Morse input) requires keyboard access. Users who cannot use a keyboard can use the on-screen tap button instead. ⚠ The Flashlight tool requires device torch hardware and may not be available on all devices or browsers. A visual on-screen indicator is provided as an alternative. ⚠ The Vibration tool requires device vibration hardware. A visual indicator is shown when vibration is not available. ⚠ The History timeline is optimized for desktop viewing. Mobile users see a simplified single-column layout.
